Update on Kyra

Here is the latest update on Kyra, Jantina's cousin. Please continue your prayers. This update is from her caringbridge site:

Because we have some amazing prayer warriors I am going to ask that these requests be added to your list. The first and major request is that we need to have a pediatric hematologist, or at the very least a facility that is set up for pediatric transfusion care nearby. This is not looking to be likely in Worland, but how close to Worland is that care available. We are willing to live apart as a family for the short term, but agree that we cannot do that for the long term. Chris needs to continue to work, and we both agree that he needs to stay were he is because he has good health care. This is a very big burden for him for him to carry. We also need prayer for continued stamina to endure the length of stay here. We need our other children to know 100% how much we love and miss them! Pray also that the madness of the H1N1 would end quickly as it has greatly affected the staff, visitors and created tenseness within the hospital setting, with that said, it looks like they are putting some restrictions on child visitors so it would be wise to check with the hospital before planning a trip this way.

So along with you we wait, not only for answers to the tests, but on God's promises, His timing, and His grace. He is Good!

  1. Thanks for sharing this! We had a blessed weekend - Kyra was able to spend it at my mom's house with all of us - 22 of us snowed in at my mom's house specifically :-) She will begin chemo later this month in preparation for a bone marrow transplant. Her younger brother is a match. So while we celebrated life and sharing Christmas with her very few are looking forward to the parts that we know 2010 has in store for her. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Thank you soooo much!!!!!
